Handmade dining tables built to your size, timber and base design — from solid oak and elm refectory tables to live-edge slabs on steel frames. Each table is made to order in our High Wycombe workshop and delivered across London and the Home Counties.

We hand-select boards for grain and character, then finish with hard-wearing oils or lacquers that are easy to live with. Tell us your seating, room size and style and we'll design a table that fits perfectly.

How thick should a dining table top be?
We make most of our dining table tops between 40mm and 60mm thick — thick enough to feel substantial and to allow the correct proportions for edge profiles and aprons. Live edge and statement tables are often made at 60–80mm for visual weight. The right thickness depends on the table size and leg design; we'll advise at the design stage.
What oil or finish do you recommend for a solid oak dining table?
For dining tables that will receive heavy use, we recommend a hard wax oil finish — Rubio Monocoat or Osmo Hard Wax Oil are both excellent. They penetrate into the timber, are easy to maintain and repair in sections, and develop a natural patina over time. For a more formal look, a satin lacquer gives a more consistent, liquid-repellent surface.
Can you make a dining table that seats twelve?
Yes. A table seating twelve generously needs to be approximately 3.6–4 metres long and 1–1.1 metres wide. We make tables to any size; the limiting factor is usually the room. We'll advise on the maximum practical size for your specific space, including clearances for chairs and circulation around the table.
How long does it take to make a bespoke dining table?
A solid hardwood dining table typically takes 4–6 weeks from design sign-off to delivery. Timber selection and drying adds time if we are starting from air-dried planks; kiln-dried stock allows us to begin immediately. An extending table takes 6–8 weeks due to the additional mechanism work.
Do you deliver and install dining tables?
Yes. We deliver all our tables and position them correctly in your room, adjusting levelling feet as required. For very large tables we may need to discuss access through doors or up stairs in advance.
